Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 26 May 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Cube (“Cube”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), the spreadsheet application available at app.cube.tools and the website at cube.tools (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Beta service

The Service is currently provided as a beta release. This means it is still under active development and may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features. Functionality may change, break, or be removed at any time without notice. We may impose or change usage limits, suspend features, or discontinue the Service in whole or in part at any time.

You acknowledge that the Service is offered on an experimental basis and that you use it at your own risk.

2. What Cube does

Cube is a spreadsheet tool with two main capabilities:

  • AI Column: Cube runs a prompt you write across the rows of your sheet by calling an AI model provider using an API key that you supply.
  • HTTP API Column: Cube sends HTTP requests that you define to third-party APIs of your choosing, using API keys that you supply, and writes the responses back into your sheet.

Cube is the engine that runs these operations. We do not supply AI models, data, or API access. You connect your own accounts and keys. We do not resell AI tokens, proxy your calls for profit, or add any markup to what your providers charge you.

3. Your accounts and API keys

To use the AI Column and HTTP API Column, you must provide your own API keys (for example, an OpenRouter key for AI models, or keys for any other service you connect). You are responsible for:

  • Obtaining and maintaining those keys and accounts;
  • All charges, fees, and usage billed to you by those third-party providers;
  • Complying with the terms of service and usage policies of every provider and API you connect;
  • Keeping your keys and login credentials secure.

Any cost you incur with a third-party provider through your use of Cube is solely your responsibility. Cube is not a party to your relationship with those providers and is not liable for their charges, outages, or actions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Break any law, regulation, or the terms of any third-party service you connect;
  • Infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • Process data you do not have the right to process;
  • Send spam, scrape sites in violation of their terms, or carry out abusive, harmful, or deceptive activity;
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • Resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Your data and content

You retain ownership of the data, prompts, and content you bring to or create in the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content only as needed to operate the Service for you (for example, sending a row’s data to the AI provider you selected, or to the API endpoint you configured).

You can export Your Content to CSV at any time and delete your account, which removes Your Content from the Service. We do not sell Your Content. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process Your Content and for complying with all applicable data-protection laws.

6. Free plan, paid plans, and billing

Cube currently offers a free plan. The free plan is subject to usage limits (for example, limits on tables, rows, columns, and concurrent jobs) that we may change at any time. Features available on the free plan today may be moved to a paid plan in the future, and the free plan may not include all features.

We may introduce paid plans at any time. If you choose a paid plan:

  • We will show you the price and billing terms before you are charged, and you must give clear consent before any charge is made.
  • Unless stated otherwise, paid plans are billed on a recurring basis and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then.
  • Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods, unused time, or features you did not use.
  • We may change prices or plan terms going forward. We will give reasonable notice of changes that affect what you pay, and changes will not apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

Moving from the free plan to a paid plan, or between paid plans, does not change your ownership of Your Content or these Terms, except as to the fees and features of the plan you select.

7. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16.

8. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any output, enrichment, classification, or API result will be accurate, complete, or reliable. AI models and third-party APIs can produce incorrect, outdated, or misleading results. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Cube, its owners, or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50). Because the Service is currently free, you acknowledge that this amount may be zero.

10. Third-party services

The Service lets you connect to and call third-party services and APIs. We do not control and are not responsible for those services, their availability, their content, their pricing, or their data practices. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that party’s own terms.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cube and its owners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, Your Content, your API keys, or your violation of these Terms or any third party’s rights.

12. Intellectual property and takedowns

Cube and its name, logo, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.

We respect intellectual property rights and expect you to do the same. If you believe content processed through the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to contact@cube.tools with: a description of the work, the location of the material, your contact details, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized. We may remove infringing content and terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause, including if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

14. Dispute resolution

We hope to resolve any concern informally first, so please email us before taking formal action and give us a reasonable chance to address the issue.

To the extent permitted by law, you and Cube agree that any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 of India, rather than in court, and that each party waives the right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. The seat and venue of arbitration will be India, the language will be English, and the arbitration will be conducted by a sole arbitrator. This does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief for misuse of intellectual property. Nothing in this section removes any right you have that cannot be waived under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country, province, or state.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes not subject to arbitration will be resolved in the courts of India, unless mandatory local consumer law in your own country, province, or state provides otherwise.

17. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Cube about the Service and replace any prior agreements on the subject.
